Femme Fatale's Artistic Director ROBERT RIBAR directs this tale of sex, death, and head. DAVI SANTOS portrays the seductive titular character, alongside cast members DANNY BAIRD, DANIEL DESTEFANO, FRANCISCO HUERGO, JOHN C. HUME, FRANKIE LAPACE, NICK MOORE, EUGENE MICHAEL SANTIAGO, and IAN SCHULZ.

The production features set design by JASON SHERWOOD, costume design by DANIELLE MAHONEY, lighting design by WILLIAM NOGUCHI, original music & sound design by BRIAN CHILLEMI and RYAN MARINO, and choreography by Fuerza Bruta cast member BEN HOBBS. Produced by STEPHEN GRIBBIN.

Based on the Biblical account of the execution of John the Baptist, including the iconic imagery of his severed head on a silver platter and the infamous Dance of the Seven Veils, Wilde spins a story of forbidden eroticism embodied by Salome, the spoiled step-daughter to Herod, ruler of Judea. Salome always gets what she wants, and what she wants now is the affection of Jokanaan, a chaste and feared prophet imprisoned by Herod. When Jokanaan refuses Salome's advances, she turns to her lustful and leering step-father to obtain what she desires.

Touch- the musical

In 1970, a small musical with a big heart opened Off-Off-Broadway called Touch!-the journey of nine lost youth who ventured to the city during the colorful Woodstock era, taking to the road to find themselves. The show quickly rose to Off-Broadway where it ran for a full year. The New York Times called it 'Irresistible!' and reviews following were simply sensational. Veteran stage director Claude Brickell has returned to New York to mount the production and it promises to be bigger and better-that is in heart--if that is at all possible. Set during the turbulent hippie movement and the tragic Vietnam War era, the characters pour their hearts out on life's woes and its cherished moments. They bounce from one shunned town to another eventually ending up at the unfortunate Kent State rally where American youth were gunned down by our own National Guard for simply protesting the war. Capturing a turning point in the direction of our nation, the show and its young actor/singers are poised to remind each of us that wars go on but there is always hope. Macaulay Theater Group’s 24 Hour Play Festival

Industry professionals have accepted invitations to work alongside Macaulay students, and casting agents have been invited to watch. On Festival Eve, artists will be randomly selected into groups of writer, director, and four actors. The playwright will write a ten minute play by morning. The actors will learn the piece by afternoon. The director will rehearse with the actors until evening, and then: Showtime. Artists are being selected on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Groups will be made on October 2, 8-9pm and performances will be held on October 3, 8pm at Macaulay: 35 West 67th, with a suggested donation for students. Davi Santos will be performing in this 35th Annual Samuel French Off Broadway Short Play Festival Presented by Samuel French, Inc.

About the play- In the volatile lands of the Palestinian Territories and on the night before his life is changed forever, Jaul is confronted by his dead lover, who raises questions about masculinity and honor in times of war.

About the author- Hailing from Cleveland, Andrew Kramer is a proud recent graduate of Ball State University’s Department of Theatre and Dance in Muncie, Indiana where he was the founder/president of Busted Space Theatre Company, Ball State’s student-run theatre company specializing in new works and non-conventional theatre performances. His original productions of Let’s Talk About and Medea were performed with Busted Space last year. He was a 2009 WordBridge semi-finalist and is a 2010 Core Apprentice Writer at the Playwrights’ Center in Minneapolis.

About the Festival: The Festival has served as a doorway to future success for many aspiring playwrights, including such notables as Theresa Rebeck, Shirley Lauro, Sheila Callaghan, Bekah Brunstetter, Steve Yockey, and David Johnston. Festival participation has sparked agent contracts for festival finalists and all of the final forty plays–those selected to be perform in New York–are seen by an Artistic Director of a major theater, a professional playwright, and a theatrical agent. Playwrights have gone on to win major Playwriting Awards and Honors, as well as to have major theatrical productions of their works staged.

NEITHER HEAVEN NOR EARTH

Neither Heaven Nor Earth began as an exploration of walls being built around the world. The wall on the U.S.-Mexico border, proposals for walls between Sunni and Shia neighborhoods in Baghdad, the Separation Barrier between Israel and the West Bank — each seemed part of an epidemic of literally walling off problems and people.

As we researched these walls further, the Israeli/Palestinian situation demanded a play all its own. And so, in the fall of 2008, we traveled to Israel and the West Bank for three months to collect the interviews that eventually became Neither Heaven Nor Earth. <

The set for Neither Heaven Nor Earth recreates the Separation Barrier that initially inspired us – emblematic of the breakdown of communication and the mentality of fear that in part perpetuates the conflict. The panels of the Wall are mobile, suggesting a variety of locations throughout the play – a checkpoint, an airport. Through its use as a projection surface, the Wall comes to represent yet more ideas and locations, from a monstrous bulldozer to the home it demolishes.

City of Angels is a musical comedy with music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by David Zippel, and book by Larry Gelbart. The musical weaves together two plots, the "real" world of a writer trying to turn his book into a screenplay, and the "reel" world of the fictional film.
The author, Stine, is a novelist adapting his novel, City of Angels into a screenplay for movie mogul Buddy Fidler. Buddy, a charismatic and autocratic producer-director, has an immense ego and, although he claims to be a fan of Stine’s work, he continually demands rewrites from the increasingly reluctant Stine. As Stine struggles to keep both his job and his novel's integrity, his wife Gabby disapproves of his womanizing and leaves for New York on a business trip. Shortly afterwards, he begins an affair with Buddy's secretary Donna. Gabby discovers this and leaves him.
When Stine fulfills Buddy's request to remove a racially-motivated plotline from the screenplay, Stone himself grows frustrated with his author's lack of integrity and berates him for it. Creator and creation have an argument, which Stine wins by typing a scene where the detective is beaten up.
Stine flies to New York in an unsuccessful attempt to reconcile with Gabby, earning Buddy's ire. When he returns, he discovers that Buddy has drastically rewritten the film's ending to his own satisfaction and given himself a prominent co-writing credit. Stine appears on set for the first day of filming to confront the unrepentant Fidler and discovers, to his shock, that a popular crooner has been cast as his hard-boiled detective. With Stone himself at his side, Stine rips up the script and quits. He is about to be beaten by two studio guards, when, in a reversal on their earlier confrontation, Stone aids him by typing a scene allowing Stine to defeat the guards and win back both his wife and his self-respect.
Apart from Stine and Stone, the actors portraying the characters in Stine's movie double as the Hollywood executives and actors Stine encounters.
Davi Santos is good as Detective Munoz with a grudge against Stone from a previous murder investigation – a conflict that draws racism into the story, a social message that Stine wants but that Buddy Fidler doesn’t think fits into his successful Hollywood formula.

O Programa de Teatro no Lehman College abriu a temporada com Medea, do autor frances Jean Anouilh, numa adaptacao do classico da tragedia grega. A peca foi apresentada no Studio Theatre de 15 a 26 de outubro. Duas destas apresentacoes foram feitas com utilizacao de sign language, numa interpretacao do ator Ryan Grant no papel de Jason. Nas demais apresentacoes o personagem foi interpretado pelo ator Sean Connelly.
O elenco foi composto por Lydia Diaz no papel de Medea, Roberto Ventura como Soldado/Guarda, Bix Windbiel como Menino/Mensageiro, David Wetter como Creon (primeira semana) e Davi Santos (Segunda Semana), Osnat Greenbaum como Ama de Leite. As criancas foram foram interpretadas por Caitlin Thompson e Dylan Wolfson.
A obra do autor grego Euripedes nos conta a historia de Jason que abandona Medea, sua esposa, e duas criancas, para viver com uma mulher de posicao social mais elevada, fazendo com que Medea inicie uma tragica vinganca.

Hoffman, membro do Departamento de Jornalismo e Comunicacao do Lehman's College e autor da peca- III Conde de Clarendon e primo da rainha Anne, da Inglaterra. Ele foi o governador das colonias de NY e NJ por oito anos, e era tido como a historia nos conta, um cross-dresser."
